Step #1
Remove the child safety harness from the box and completely loosen all straps before placing on the child.

Step #2
Putting the FreedomRide ^TM Harness on the child
With the child standing and with arms raised reaching overhead, place the harness over the child's head (see figure 2a and 2b).

Step #3
Adjusting chest and shoulder straps
With arms in down position (figure 3a), adjust shoulder straps (figure3b) until chest strap is one quarter inch below armpits then adjust chest strap (figure 3b) until your little finger is a snug fit between the chest strap and the child (figure 3b).

Step #4
Adjusting crotch strap
With the child in a standing position (figure 4a) snap male end of release buckle into female end (figure 4b). Now adjust crotch strap by pulling strap through adjustment buckle on male end of quick release (figure 4b) until snug.

Step #5
Adjusting waist strap
Refer to figure 4b, showing position of waist strap adjusting buckle. Adjust strap to a snug fit using little finger method (figure 3b).

Step #6
Adjust all straps
Snugly adjust all straps (shoulder, chest, crotch and waist - refer to figures 3b and 4b). For small children, adjust excess crotch strap (figure 3b)

Step #7
Final adjustment of crotch strap
With the child in an upright position in the automobile, make final adjustment of the crotch strap. By means of excess, take up strap (figure 3b) and ensure that the crotch strap is snug by using the little finger method (figure 3b). Fold excess webbing and place into back pad and snap cover shut.
